Hello again...

My brief reprieve from my blog is over for a very special cause. A good friend of mine is in need of some support. Josh is a Berklee College of Music graduate with a once in a lifetime opportunity. He has been given the chance to record his debut EP album with a Grammy award winning record company in New York City. In order to fund this endeavor, he needs to raise an additional $3,000 on top of every penny already saved. I believe that everyone deserves a chance to make their dreams come true, and he's so close! With about 85% of his funds raised, he only has 3 days left! Please check of his kickstarter.com page and his Facebook page "Music by Joshua". He truly is a talent and deserves this shot!

Macy's Shop for a Cause

What a fantastic day at the Macy's Shop for a Cause! By selling $5 tickets to shoppers looking for great savings, we raised money to benefit Feeding America, Family Violence Prevention Fund and the local food pantry! The Miss NH Organization local titleholders, contestants and volunteers promoted the event through several fashion shows in Macy's, signing autographs and provided entertainment to shoppers! Not only did we support a wonderful cause, we had so much fun doing it!

Gillette Stadium: Home of the New England Patriots!

In the last few weeks, my time with the Miss NH Scholarship Organization has been a blast! Each local titleholder (or contestant in my case) has the opportunity to volunteer at the snack shack they staff! On Sunday, September 26, I worked my little self at the Boston Common stand with some incredible girls. And to top it all off, our beloved Tom Brady led his team to a fantastic win against the Buffalo Bills! :]

Into the wild blue yonder...

Coming to you LIVE from San Antonio, Texas! The Lonestar State!

I've become quite the world traveler in the last few years. This occasion however, is special. In the last two days, I watched my (not-so) baby brother become an Airman in the United States Air Force! It was a proud moment for my family to see the 3rd Generation Loring, receive the Official USAF Coin to no longer be called "trainee" and participate in the Graduate Parade. The tradition behind the ceremonies and the history of Lackland Air Force Base were amazing to witness and take in. Enough chit-chat, here are some photos from the festivities!

Miss Strafford County

Even though I'm a bit late with creating this, I have been leading a pretty exciting and busy two weeks! Recently, I found myself in the middle of a Miss America local pageant surrounded by some very talented, smart and genuine young women. How did I get there? Fate. I entered the scholarship program with no real expectations other than to have an experience. And that I did! In my first pageant back, and first local, I was named the Interview Winner and Second Runner Up. The program is incredible and the contacts I've made thus far are some of the nicest people I've ever come in contact with!

Here are some photos from the day! I can't wait to compete next and continue on this crazy and unexpected journey! What's life with out a little adventure right?

Welcome to my blog!

It's amazing to me how the world today is full of places for people to express themselves, their views and interests through just about anything. This is my attempt to become more in tune with this trend. In my first few months as a college graduate, I'm learning about who I am as a person and my aspirations for the future. Though many of you reading this probably know me personally and what I'm doing, I wanted to provide a guide for myself to remind myself how exciting life really is.

I love to share conversations, dreams and experiences with others. This is my chance to lay them on the line for anyone who cares to listen.
